I'm a writer. Also a sometimes editor, graphic designer, and sometimes do whatever else pays the rent. In the past few years that included editing a newspaper, being a copywriter, security guarding a bachelor party and serving supboenas.

Oh, wait. I did those last two things strictly as a favour to a brother...

I've won a couple of playwrighting awards, been short-listed for a couple of Lammys, Goldies and a Spectrum, and made the Publishing Triangle’s list of Notable Lesbian Books with her my anthology. (In fact, every book I've edited has been short-listed or won at least one thing, while a story in a book I edited was also short-listed for a Spectrum.) Oh, and I picked up a 2008 Alice B. Reader's Appreciation Award, too!

I've edited five anthologies for Bella After Dark (BAD): Wild Nights: (Mostly) True Stories of Women Loving Women, Back to Basics: A Butch/Femme Anthology, Call of the Dark: Erotic Lesbian Stories of the Supernatural, Fantasy: Untrue Stories of Lesbian Passion and The Perfect Valentine.

I've written seven books in the Lammy-finalist Brett Higgins Motor City Thrillers series (in order: When the Dancing Stops, When the Dead Speak, When Some Body Disappears, When Evil Changes Face, When Good Girls Go Bad, When the Corpse Lies and When First We Practice (When It’s All Relative is due out in the first quarter of 2008)).

The first book in mynew mystery series—It’s All Smoke & Mirrors, the first Shawn Donnelly Chronicles—is due out in November 2007.

I'm part of the foursome who created (and write) the bestselling/Lammy-finalist Bella After Dark (BAD) New Exploits series, which include Once Upon a Dyke: New Exploits of Fairy Tale Lesbians, Bell, Book and Dyke: New Exploits of Magical Lesbians, Stake Through the Heart: New Exploits of Twilight Lesbians and the forthcoming Tall in the Saddle.

I've also got a few dozen short works published in a variety of books.

And I generally have a day job on top of my freelance work and writing.

And, most importantly, I have a really cute girlfriend. Hi, honey! (She told me to setup this journal thingie.)
